Who Are Cambridge MAC?

Cambridge MAC - team

In 2004, a small group of people met together with a vision to make a practical Christian response to the growing problem of debt in our city and country. This led to the establishment of MAC - The Cambridge Money Advice Centre. Since then we have seen remarkable growth and real answers to prayer.

It was initially through the Citizens' Advice Bureau that we received our first clients, referred by them because of the sheer demand and the fact that they trusted us to do a professional job. As we have become known so other clients have been recommended to us. Recently, we have been able to forge links with the Housing Support Services.

Our advisers are fully trained to provide debt advice and have a wealth of experience between them. All of them are volunteers and represent many churches in Cambridge.

We are part of Community Money Advice, which assists churches and other community organisations in setting up debt advice centres in their local community and supports us in the work we do.
